Thanks everyone – what a successful fundraiser!
We’re all sold out of the caterpillars for 2017, and send you all a heartfelt thank you for supporting our campaign!
The Junction Project
Spring has sprung! Which means it’s time – HOORAY, it’s time! – for our favourite fundraiser of all. It’s time to grow a butterfly!
Here’s everything you need to know:
- For $10, you will receive an itty-bitty little container packed with food and a new fuzzy little friend (we’ll also send you home with care instructions).
- Said fuzzy friend will stay in the container and eat, eat eat until big and round and tired.
- At that point, fuzzy friend will attach to the lid of their itty-bitty container and once that happens, the lid can be transferred to the roof of whatever habitat you’ve built/created/invented.
- Ten days later, a painted lady butterfly should emerge! The butterfly gets fed for a few days on sugar water (recipe included in your instructions) and once their wings are dry they can be released.
This is a truly magical experience for kids AND adults – I hope you will all consider welcoming a fuzzy into your house (and hearts!) this spring!
Fuzzy fellows will arrive around the end of May – we’ll keep you posted, and plan a couple of pick up days & locations closer to the date. PLEASE NOTE: this is a local initiative, supporting a city park in West-end Toronto. As such, all pick-up locations are within the community known as the Junction (Dundas St. West between Keele & Jane). Thanks!
Please help us make this fundraiser a success and share this event with friends and family as ALL proceeds support our volunteer-run NFP!
